Do we shake Mr. Presidents hand for offering an unsolicted shoulder massage or do we offer him sensitivity training ? This offer extended not to just a random woman but the Angela Merkle the German Chancellor. Do we blame the eletronic techs for the microphone left open where our brilliant leader says "See the irony is that what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this **** and it's over,". This comment made to Tony Blair a Prime Minister when dicussing politics. Is he really this stupid ? I once wondered why as a nation at war he didn't offer more public press conferences. I know why now. This guy is like the untrained dog at the dog socialization class. What we need is a political Bud Selig to censor this guy who'll overlook his "Texas roots" and assume he knows english despite his being raised on the east coast.

tm tech32 who's the stooge ? You are I don't mind him being overheard I mind him being overheard as a leader to ignorant to find a different word then ****. I mind him being so insensitive he thinks an unsolicited back rub is good politics and offers it to a female German Chancellor. If their is anyone in this equation living of covert activity it's you. You don't do that in a boardroom, a meeting room, a breakroom or a G8 summit.

You misunderestimated the man. All you bleeding heart panty wearing liberals don't like him because he is a tough talking Texan who doesn't have a clue why he is where he is. I once read a story on the internet, and it has the semblance of being true(Is our children learning?) because of what we know about him. At a meeting with French Prime Minister Mitterrand, he turned to Tony Blair and said,(I have to paraphrase a bit) "The reason the French economy is a mess is because there is no French word for Entrepreneur." There is no more French word or spelling than that. This was retold by Dame something or other from England, who was told this by Mr. Blair. I often wonder what the rest of the world thinks of our Yogi Berra of a president. Yogi made more sense than this guy. The fact that he swore when he thought he was off mike doesn't bother me. Nixon swore all the time and so did Johnson, they also were much more intellilgent, despite all their flaws. His swearing is the least of my worries, it is his incompetence that worries me most. That one responder, Jack f, forgot the o and the other f before the last letter. He seems to have matters well in hand.

The problem you have is you have been completely blinded by all nonsense the libs have been saying about the man. You seem to believe everything they say so now your perspective is warped.
Even the Presidents most fervent political enemies have let slip now and again that personally they like him. Angela Merkle likes him very much, she has even gone above and beyond to invite him and the first lady to her private home.
The 'accidental' overhearing of his statement, was in no way whatsoever an accident. Real Americans (the ones not blinded by hate) like straight talk and I statement like that is good to here.
In fact all people, prefer straight talk over political talk. Behind the scenes I suspect there is much more straight talk comming from Bush. You can agree or disagree with him, but he says what he means, and he means what he says.
To me at least that is far more favorable, then getting into an intellectual debate over what IS is. Or voting for something before you vote against it.
The thing you can't understand, is Bush is a real person, with convictions, he is a leader not a politician.

To answer your question; yes Mr. President is not well developed in the finer aspects of social etiquette.
Furthermore, he's pretty much the figure head for the Republican party. They found themselves an elect-able guy and have been pulling his puppet strings since he was sworn in. Problem is that he's such an easy target that we've taken our eyes off the guys in the background doing the harm. They've had there term(s) and I'll be glad when it comes to an end.
