My car has broken down recently. It was seen by a mechanic who advised me it would cost between £300-400 to fix. As I dont have this money I have left it at a friends off the road. I have also obtained a SORN certificate. Now the friend has moved and is advising me to move the car. Morden council says they wont take it because it is not registered in their borough ( I live in Harrow). I dont know what to do with it, any advice please?

I had a car and it was taken away free phone some local scrap metal yards they should help you.

Have a look in your local paper, there should be people who will take away scrap cars.
Im just looking in the Kingston Comet (not too far away from Morden) and there are few advertised.

any scrappy will come lift it for you. just look at yell.com also, get their details so you can let the dvla know.
