Makeup is just a form of expressing and promoting beauty to gain a mate. I'm sure if girls have to reproduce with other girls, they would use makeup.

you are all in denial.. if there is no men,, why the need to make up.. agree first,, woman dress and make up to out smart other woman, but without man ,were is the competition. i think it is only human female who competes for the male species, when you look at the males of the animal kingdom, they are far more beautiful. look at the peacock, and most **** birds, male lion etc; if you get my drift?. without this competitiveness why should we bother with make up

no basically girls go for makeup to show themselves as better than other women .to show they are better thn other women so make up will be on a rise.
