Not sure but I hope so. They left the door open at the of the movie by making reference to the next book.
FRANS - there are four books in the Hitchiker's trilogy. You will want to read 'The Restaurant at the End of the Universe" next.

It's based on a novel without a followup,so I doubt it.Shame though.I loved that Friggin movie.
