I've lived the place where it was very hot in Africa. And what would do to cope with this wheather? Not easy but, I wouldn't say under the sun in the mid-day or if I have walked along time under the burning sun I would have taken shower afterward.
Another thing is, you have to drink as much water as possible to not get weary and dehydrated. Don't wait to drink when you're thirst. Make it an habit. Allow your body to drink water automatically.
I would suggest you to drink 1-2 liters of lukewarm water even during the day. You can do it in 4 portions or more a day and experience the unfailed technic against frequent droughts in you.
Don't forget to eat things like carrots, cucumbers,- why not fruits?- etc. as soon u get the Chance to do so. This will keep on rejuvenating your skin after the daily weary of sunburning.
I hope this will at least help you if u cling on what I tell you. Not 100% to every body. But just give it a try and u gonna see.

Mornings and evenings are fairly pleasant ....get out only at that time. Noons and afternoons can be spent indoors. The veils and clothes which people in hot climates wear actually helps in water retention and less fatigue, and its one of the best sun block too so when you reach some place you can always take it off like we do with overcoats and things.
