I guess I agree with bookworm, they are part of a chain as every being on this planet, take them out and funny things happen. There are many examples about that, try National Geographic web site, you'll find loads of info.

They pollenate plants. Without them, a number of plants and trees would not be able to reproduce and though there are other pollenating insects like bees, butterflies etc. Wasps perform an important function in this respect.

There are no good at all. They are just the devils incarnate They are grumpy gits who sting you for no reason. Some one should invent a way to exterminate all the little fecks at once...
