Jump out of my skin, as I turn around to see who's calling me. Then I'd be on guard in case they weren't safe. I'd also be prepared with something in my hand, since I was alone on a dark street.

You turn around, and ask:
--Have you seen the game? Wasn't it terrible?
When in doubt, talk about sports. Or cars. Even if you don't know anything about it. It's such a safe conversation anyway that soon the unfamiliar person will be saying: Goodnight!
Then you'll be walking home, smiling, unhurt.

if you don't recognize it, but the voice is pretty far away, it might be safe to turn around. If it sounded a little too close for comfort, RUN LIKE HELL. That's what I would :) And trust, I would definitely do that. I have no shame when it comes to safety of myself and others.

I would walk away, unless I could see or hear anything that indicated I knew this person. If it later turned out to be someone I knew I would just explain to them I wasn't sure who they were. Trust me it's better than getting involved with any of the other potentials!

Out of curiosity, I would look over my shoulder, but keep on a walking. Maybe, walk a bit faster. Call me paranoid.

i wont reply back, instead i'll walk faster or run if the strange "voice" or anything behind come nearer to me & try to look out for an area which got ppl around...

I would stop if he was atractive i would try to seduce him but on the other hand if he is scary i would before he says something else
