i am 33 and in general good health -recently whether it my memory or total lack of concentration (which is cant explain) i am doing things whether it be turning off the oven while cooking and 5 minutes later asking who did it.theres been other things.any ideas

Please go to your doctor. There are a number of very serious illnesses that can cause these symptoms.

Diabetes and Alzheimer's Disease are the two most serious that come to mind.

Go to your doctor. Explain what is happening and as for his help.

Meditation can improve memory.In your case it seems that you have no concentration.If you want to have memory you must concentrate while listening and reading.You can do some exercise in memory:-
i)read a book fast for 5 minutes(say 10 pages),any subject you like.Then write down important words and names after closing the book.Then see the book and find out howmany you have omitted.Repeat till you remember all important words
ii)Play chess/Learn chess.it will improve concentration
iii)Enter in a room where a number of things are kept.Have a look for one or two minutes.Come out and write what items you have seen.Check how many you have seen.Repeat in another room. Doing this daily you will improve concentration and memory.

I am 40 and have known that I have type two Diabetes for about five years.

Right before I found out about the Diabetes I started to have some memory problems, go to your doctor and have it checked out.

The older people get, the more their memory fails them. You're on the slippery slope into old age now so expect it to get worse in the years to come.

it's you a, as you get older you get all these rotten things happen to you, as if us women havn't had enough going on in our bodies then all of a sudden we start to forget things,whare did i put this ,or did i do that? still it's only your short term memory that start's to wilt,get some omega fish oil tablets and some evening primrose oil tablets,they are suppose to boost your hormone levels, well any of them are worth a try,if all else fails get some h.r.t. good luck you have the hot flushes to look forward to....

have you suffered a recent concussion, a head bump. no matter this is a see your doctor thing. you might want him to check you out for a couple of disorders, early onset Alzheimer's is just one. this could also be a stroke or a mini stroke, a tumour or chemical poisoning. there are other possible problems, it should be checked up on

A Doctor's your best bet, they can get more information to give you a better diagnosis. I do recommend seeing a doctor.

maybe you are developing alzheimers( or however you spell it) the disease that causes you to lose your short-term memory
