500 is not bad for that car. make sure you get some type of warranty if you do choose to get it (maybe a 3 month). i would recommend having someone who knows about cars go with you to give it a test drive and look under the hood. but it don't look like you have much to lose considering its 500. good luck and drive safely.

Don't buy that car. For starters, someone trying to sell a 1998 car would most likely do what they could to pretty it up before selling...this person didn't even put new headlights in it. Makes you wonder what else could be wrong. Also, that hood was bent back some after the accident. The hood was much more crumpled before, and it looks like there may be some serious internal damage...that looks like a 15-20 mph crash. At that speed, you're getting more than a dent on the body, you're causing some internal damages as well.
Save yourself the trouble. You may just be buying it because it's cheap, but I see $1,000s worth of damages that would HAVE to be adressed sooner or later.
It's a $500 money pit...stay away.

O.K., There is $310.00 worth of parts to put it back together. The damage shown in the pictures isn't very bad at all. One area to check would be the radiator upper support, it may need to be "pulled".
The parts I listed are all from junkyards in MI, (car is in MI also) and are listed at; http://car-part.com/ You can hunt around and may find the same color blue, or one sorta close and avoid having to paint. Or just put straight parts on it and leave it multi colored. It would still run.
With the mileage that is on the car, you MUST either replace the timing belt AND WATER PUMP, or verify it has been done. This is an "interference fit motor" . If the timing belt breaks you will damage valves, and possibly pistons. The water pumps on these have a tendency to lock up with age. They are driven by the timing belt and when they go, so does the belt!
I would buy this car if it were closer to me (to re-sell). I would probably try and offer less, but would go $500 IF, tires, brakes, suspension is good, and all else is in good shape (AC, windows, exhaust etc.)
Anyone handy with tools can figure out how to install the hood, fender, and headlight assembly, but the timing belt job may cost another 3-5 hundred, (parts are about $75.00).

that car has front end damage
before you buy it make sure that it holds the road well,a nd there is nothing out of line that's going to hurt the car's performance. things like that are next to impossible to fix without properly repairing the front end and then you're talking about 2000+ in repair work and that's not worth it
if it runs ok and can go down the road straight without shaking, pulling to the side, or strange noises than ou can take a chance, and it will always be wroth 500$ in parts

Well look at it this way. If you buy this car and you want to fix it up correctly it will cost you a pretty penny. There could also be unfound or untold damage. You can not test drive it because of the radiator, so you don't know whats all wrong with it. Over all I wouldn't buy this car, its going to cause you alot of money for repairs and alot of headaches. I would keep looking!

This is going to be the bast answer your going to get! First off great deal if you or someone you know can fix that's great! As for the guy that said the mileage was to high is nuts that cars is almost 9 years old it should have more miles if anything! as long as the title isn't salvage and it runs its a great buy!
