also does any1 know how hard it is to play 1 because i never have but want to self learn?

u could try the second hand shops

Look in free ads or your local paper, or music stores near where you live.

For a first decent guitar expect to pay £100 to 200
For you first amp make sure it has reverb or distortion and at least 20 watt. Depending on the quality you could pay up to £150 for your first one

Buy a learning guitar book. I takes a while to get really good but its good fun learning and very easy to string a few notes together and play some chords. If you have mates who are learning too you can enjoy learning and Jamming together.

You can also buy effects pedals which dont cost too much.

ebay, do good second hand guitars, i bought my son an electric guitar with amp and leads and carry case with picks, all for £45, it is in perfect condition like new, and sounds great too !!!

just an idea, log on to 'freecycle' have a look around it's kind of like e-bay but everything's free. Seriously. You never know what you might find

E-bay is great!!!
Its not that hard to play either!!
I started teaching my self 3 years ago and now i can play better than my boyfriend!!!! and hes in a band !!!!!

there are always cheap guitars on ebay, I got a brand new strat copy for £34.00 last year. it's sweet !
