Surely the prophet was saying that the sun would rise from the other horizon, not that the magnetic poles of the earth would switch. It is not the same thing at all.
Besides, it's supposed to be a miracle, right? What more shows the miracle of God: the periodic flipping of magnetic poles, or the reversal of the Earth's rotation?

The sun will rise from the west if the earth rotates from east to west like venus does. Presently the earth rotates from west to east so the sun rises in the east.

I checked out the cited web site. It is drivel. Furthermore, it has nothing to do with whether the sun rises in the east or in the west.

The polarity of the Earths poles changes quite regularly. It doesn't affect the rotation of the Earth at all.
The website is inane bullshit. True scientists cannot be religious, albeit they also cannot deny the possibility of a God. To do either of these things is to abandon scientific method.

A flawed argument: north and south are determined not by the magnetic polarity, but by the rotation of the planet. While that wobbles a bit, it is not going to reverse direction.

actually geologists say this has happened in the past. Our magnetic poles have switched before. I am not sure about it changing the rotation of the earth however. I hope we don't get seasick.
