It's only one minute. Who should I do? What should I say about them?

I'm not going to do blackbeard, because that is a common choice. I wanted to know of an obscure pirate.

Neither Long John Silver nor Captain Hook actually existed, but the era produced many other infamous pirates, including William Kidd, Charles Vane, Sam Bellamy, and two female pirates, Anne Bonny and Mary Read.

The worst and perhaps cruelest pirate of them all was Captain Edward Teach or Thatch, better known as "Blackbeard." Very likely most of your classmates will choose him because he is the easiest.

My personal choice would be one of the females. Not too many folks will do their report on them.

Blackbeard or Jean Lafitte would probably be the easiest to find info on.

Just make sure you don't do the presentation on Johnny Depp or Orlando Bloom.
