People make the excuse for porn that "it's just masturbation": Then why not just do that to fantasies and pictures of pretty women instead? You'd have to be pretty spoiled, desensitized and jaded to only be able to be turned on by gratuitous porn and not be moved by a fantasy or looking at a pretty girl. Men use to take care of their sexual release that way so what makes you so special? You are no more biologically different then they are.

And please give a rational answer that will make me want to listen to you, no childish smarta*s answers.

Ok there was porn in the past obviously but most was not as crude and graphic, and as for the stuff that was that crude, like you said was just "underground" and not mainstream.
I mean in American history anyway, the Roman Empire THAT'S a different story.

C'mon people do you honestly think consenting automatically makes something ethical? Two people can consent to physically abuse each other, is that ok? Same idea.

OMFG LMAO did you listen to what you just said? Mainstream and underground are opposites. "I think the black was always white".

Narrow sighted? Me acknowleding the necessity for masturbation but not porn would not make me a narrow extremist, it would make me a level moderate. You want extremism? Go to the Middle East.

But there's a difference between erotic art in general and graphic internet porn.

I find your question a little stereotypical. Not all men need internet porn for sexual release. Some men don't use it at all, while others use it to help with sexual arousal. Other men *do* masturbate to pictures of pretty women as well as use those pictures to heighten sexual arousal. As for fantasies, those are more often used by women for masturbation or arousal. It is a scientific fact that males are more sensitive to visual stimulation, i.e. pictures, video, the real thing, than most women.

As for your other question, "What makes you so special?" I suppose it's because they live in the 21st century and have technology that their ancestor's didn't have. I'm sure that if men in the 16th century had internet porn, they would also be checking it out.

In all, it's still a healthy sexual outlet. Some men are just lonely and pictures don't do it for them after a certain period of time. It's not wrong to want some variety if they can't have some female company. Internet porn use only becomes unhealthy when it becomes an addiction, for which a person should seek professional help and counseling.

First, only SOME men think they need Internet porn for sexual release.

Second, many men are "spoiled, desensitized and jaded" so it would naturally follow they are turned on by gratuitous porn. (Look at some of the responses on this forum regarding rape and child molestation. These people are NOT joking (as if those topics are funny anyway)).

Finally, the problem is not that men (and women) did not previously use porn as a sexual outlet. They did. Our ancestors had photographs, underground videos, magazines and other forms of the same stuff currently available on the internet. It is hidden before and is now openly available.

It won't end and it won't even be stopped until all normal, rational adults stop overlooking all the ways women and children are exploited for this market and by society, in general.

when men used to go into their local shop and still do to buy a magazine with pictures of pretty girls in to masturbate over in privacy they get dirty looks from women or silly snide remarks .so if you have the Internet you don't have to go into local shop to satisfy your needs .not all needs are the same either ,i don't condone child porn of any sort but assorted desires partaken by consensual adults is okay by me.a pretty girl is sensual but not always sexual ,it is two different things.you can admire but not desire sometimes a less pretty woman looks more sexual because she appears more receptive to a man he fears no reproach to his needs .finally as i have said before we are all made differently and what i find a turn on others might hate.

I dunno...
I would say that "staring" at a pretty girl would at the least get you in trouble, if not legally.
That's not acceptable behavior.
Who wants to try an placate some girl for a date.
Its pretty useless nowadays.
I think the "underground" porn was always mainstream.

Soory, you are quite wrong. Porn goes way back, egyptian, mespotamian and even some pre-historic aretefacts of women showing their bits. Men react to visual stimuli and have been using drawing, statues, stereographs, pictures, films and the internet to get their fix.

You know what?
you just posted this friggin question (in only slightly different wording, and i just answered it...If the truth hurts, so be it-evidently you have a real lack of awareness w/respect to male sexuality, and you turn a deaf to rational explanations of this, preferring to impose some personal, shortsighted moralistic bent on things predetermined by nature.

men dont want faces they want ******* they love porn because the male sexual stimulation depends on visuals where as women get there on thinking romantic things, you see thats where we all sort of fail each other, they are thinking sex and we are thinking love. I suggest you read the book Men are from Mars , Women are from Venus, it explains how the male and female brain work differently in love and sex relationships.
