Because most of them pass test by cheating or just study to pass the test and get 3.5 and 4.0 yet they are still dumb as a rock.

Learning is no longer a priority especially with these anti-science movements.

I think, speaking as a middle school teacher, that student were promoted without merit for too long. The smart student quickly learns what is required and performs accordingly.

I'm a teenager, I did pretty good in school, but I'm surprised at how well I did. I never studied, never really tried. It was all easy, and all repetitive. We "learned" the same material year after year. I just got bored, and sick of working so hard for grades.

lack of discipline-
lousy elective requirements.

When I was in High School (over 10 years ago) this was already a problem... Though physically fit, I neglected to take a phys ed requirement (my counselor never informed me that I failed to enroll for this required course).

Though I would have graduated with a 3.3 GPA, I did not complete the required classes for my district in order to graduate with the rest of my class. and my school did not offer a summer program.

As a result, I was not allowed to graduate, and had to take a volleyball./bowling class the following semester- when I should have been in college.

I blame the school districts.

I think that your question is un-realistic!

Good Evening, My name is Lynn and I am a fifteen year old High School student, I am a sophmore and I have had a 4.0 my entire life!

I only surround myself with people who are intersted in an education as well.

Just curious, what brought about this question.

*waiting for an answer to my answer* Lynn

Because they devote less time on reading and writing and also ignore the basics of learning i.e. to respect their teachers ; do homework regularly. In short they indulge in shortcuts which are detrimental for acadmic achievment. To start with yhey should learn to respect and obey their parents.

Because their parents suck and the kids have no sense of responsibility or discipline to learn, even for their own betterment. Which is ironic, because they want the world on a platter but won't know how to get it later on unless it's continued to be handed to them.
