Why would they waste time on this question when they could be changing the future, assuming they could change the future, assuming the future has not already changed as per arrival of said person, assuming the person won't cease to be in order for the space-time continuum to remain constant, assuming constant is constant and rather than a variable depending on the changing variables brought about by time travelling.
