i had an injury some time back and got scars due to stitches.i dont want to treat it surgically.is there any homemade remedy or creams that will lighten the scars effectively?

Hi! I agree with the Vitamin E oil - Olive oil works really well also. Take some internally as well, whatever you do because it is not only the outer tissue that neeeds to be treated. Also, at opposite times you can make a strong tea (green or black work best, but citrus works as well - no mint teas - 1 tbsp.per cup or 2 teabags/cup) and let it steep for 1/2 hour. Then wet a washcloth in it, and use it as a compress for 20 minutes. The astringent action, combined with the oil on opposite ends of the day, really works well.

Hi There are many treatments out there if you want a homemade remedy you can grind up mint leaves and a put it on your face it lightens scars. Also you can try using a retinoid which will also reduce scaring but the effect takes up to six months. Im a intern doctor if you need more advice feel free ta message me. Hope it helped

Keep it. I'm with Tom Da Bomb , I find scars on a women hot for some reason. Scars are awesome. You can say you got it in an attempted mugging, but you fought back and beat up the mugger.

There is a cream product out now called Mederma (I think) You rub it on the scar and it gradually lightens. Try looking in drugstores.

there is a product called Mederma you could try, I guess it doesn twork too wel on old scars but newer ones it works great one!! GOOD LUCK you shoul dbe able to get this at any drug store

cocoa butter its all natural its cheap and it works just keep doing it until you get the results you want but you have to start it asap the more time you leave the scar untreated the more its unlikely to vanish

Vitamin E oil is what I have heard works best. Get the gel capsules and pin them open and rub it in. All the best!

go to avon, theres a cream called Super Shape that i use after i had my son, it helps, he totally messed my tummy up, but most sre hardly visable now.... it cost like $17
