The RAZR has an awsome signal. Both have MP3 players. I guess it comes down to which fomat you prefer - flat form or flip (clam shell). I have a SLVR which works well, feels really robust and does all I need it to. I think the battery life is better on the SLVRF too.

I actual have a constrained version White RAZR that became bought at Neiman Marcus 2004 Christmas Catalog as a particular promoting even as Motorola released the Silver version before contained in the autumn of that 365 days. It became my all-time fashionable telephone. i'd loved it till each and every individual all started having it, even in spite of the indisputable fact that mine nevertheless carry some exclusivity because is White and is unlocked, i don't like it anymore. it isn't any longer a standing telephone anymore. Even bumps have RAZRs now. bypass for upcoming Mini-RAZR. i observed it in sleek Black and it is awesome.

I dunno about the SLVR but the RAZR is digital only. No analog signals. This is fine if you live in a big city or near a tower but if you travel alot or live in a rural area you will get alot of dropped calls or no signals with digital only capabilities. The SLVR is probably digital only as well being brand new. I'd check on it. You might want a phone that has digital and analog that's what I ended up doing.
