there are schools for that. there is a school in florida called Full Sail that offers degrees in both computer animation and game design. www.fullsail.com i recoment full sail not because i go there, but because they have a good reputation in the industry and offer liftetime career development assistance.

Short to the point Showreel. No music or sound (the volume gets turned down anyway).

It's an animation showreel sooooo show 'animation' that relates to gaming.

If your going for modelling, have models, if texture mapping etc. etc.

Only your best work, if you didn't rig or model the character, then mention this, don't ever credit yourself for work that isn't yours.
Don't be disuaded if your rejected, your going into an arts industry, what one prospective employer hates another will love.

Just keep improving and applying for jobs, and have a second trade for when your not employed.

Tune into G4 TV they do nothing but play comercials for colleges for that kind of stuff. Warning: Lots of people want to get into this field. Expect lots of applicants for your position.
