I really appreciate people with the experience to share their story. I feel really bad, my body is just so heavy and tired, i have this terrible headache, i want to yell at my husband for some of the things he says or do, I am depressed. all these symptoms are gone once i have my period. it bothers me so much, i have talked to my doctor, and she thinks I have PMDD- a serious PMS, and gave me anti-depressant, but i am concerned about the meds, i am still searching for alternative methods, please help.

Good...definatly dont take the antidepressants...they dont work and they certainly dont fix the problem and you may just find yourself addicted to them even though doctors say that they are not addictive...i have been there. Look at my profile.

Pms syptoms are cased by the fall of the hormone progesterone leaving the estrogen higher...to an extent this is good and it signals the time for the period to begin...but most women have an excess of estrogen from various souces...there are many estrogen mimicing compounds in the beauty products we use, even in the exhaust that cars give off, to the estrogen used to fatten the cow that was in the hamburger you ate....this estrogen causes an imbalance and that is what causes PMS syptoms among other things. Some are more sensitive to it than others...some get PMDD or just small PMS symptoms ...either way the problem is the same one.
The answer is to supplement with natural Progesterone cream. Raising your progesterone is necessary to combat the estrogen that you are getting from outside sources. I have included two links below with a full list of syptoms that you can get from having to much estrogen and a link to the progesterone cream that is the best and the one that i use personaly...i have no PMS at all....ever....since i found this. Email me if you have questions...i have done hours and hours of reasearch on this matter.

My sis in law has them really bad so terrible that she throws up anything she eats so she doesn't eat til her period is over! Her cramps are so strong that it cause her to throw up any way. I would see her on the couch lying there in pain crying just downing Advil's or Motrin at times she'd go to the hospital and they would give her a shot and it would calm the pain. it would be so bad that I wanted to cry with her because it hurt to see her in such pain. I never knew some woman experienced things like that. I don't even get cramps during my period. the first time I got cramps around the time my period was due it so happened I was pregnant.
If your pain is that unbearable get a second opinion and maybe the new doctor can prescribe something much better

i have found out through some kind of general survey that those who undergo PMS are suffering from other emotional disturbances as well and they generally have a negative attitude towards life because of this. this in turn aggravates the PMS.

and those who have serious mood disorders - a psychiatric problem, that might have gone unnoticed or undiagnosed may also suffer from PMS.

many of the childhood bitter experiences / attitudes that have gone unresolved and carried into adulthood may also cause severe PMS.

before you decide on any hormonal therapy or psychiatric help, i suggest you go to a psychological counsellor who may help you resolve many of the issues and then PMS will automatically reduce.

stop anticipating PMS for it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.
develop positive attitude and try to ignore the PMS. divert your mind into other useful activities and physical exercises also many times help reduce PMS.

good luck and i cheer you.

Wild yam root. There's a capsule form you can take that's sold at health food stores and places like GNC. It helps regulate progesterone so you don't get as bad mood swings, heatwaves, and other physical effects. I've taken it for about a year now and it seems to do wonders...physically I feel alot better...I still yell at my husband, but I usually give him fair warning before hand. :)

Us women do got it hard and men don't wanna hear about it because they are men.Doctors are just going to make things worse playing with your hormones. They are your hormones and everyone is different. Take a couple Midols and rest when you can with pure silence for the nerves to settle.Try not be SuperWoman at the bad times and rest.

Talk to your DR. about Prozac. You take it 2 weeks before you start your period. 2 weeks out of 1 month isn't to bad. liquid vitamin B works well for leg cramps and being tired.

It grew to become into, for me, a mixture of the two truthfully. I observed a pretty lady i needed to be with. to hold and to hug. in simple terms being together with her as quickly as we walk via the lake makes me sense good. we are on a similar 'wavelength'. Now i'm drawing close mid-Nineteen Sixties, i theory i may well be on my own continuously. Then alongside got here Katy. She is in elementary terms some years in the back of me. as quickly as we carry palms there is one among those electrical energy - i won't be ready to fairly describe it. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it fairly is like the sunlight breaking by the clouds on a cold day and sending a beam of heat temperature. i theory I knew what love grew to become into till I met Katy and my e book grew to become into rewritten. She is the epitome of kindness and generosity. and that i desire she feels a similar way I do. December 6 is to be our wedding ceremony day.
