Yes, it's definitely Calvin and Hobbes. When I was younger, my sister and I had every book and would sit up nights reading and rereading them. As I got older and discovered that the characters were actually based on the philosophers John Calvin and Thomas Hobbes, the strip became more than simply brilliantly funny. It's interesting to look at their arguments with each other and God and their sometimes side-note philosophical discussions and comments. They can definitely lead to intense and thoughtful late-night conversations! C&H definitely transcend the "comic strip" genre (along with The Far Side). Enjoy! :-)

It's Calvin and Hobbes. Hobbes is Calvin's stuffed animal friend, who is a living character in Calvin's eyes. Only when there is an adult in the picture does he appear as a stuffed toy.
I wish Bill Waterson would start drawing again. C&H was one of my favorites !

Yeah it was Calvin and Hobbes by Sam Watterson. I loved that comic strip. It made reading the newspaper worthwhile. I was sooooooooooo sad when Mr. Watterson decided to retire it. Anyways, hoped that helped.
