I had a male friend over at my place the other day, and as we were talking he kept rubbing one of his ears. He was making eye contact and slowly rubbing his ear and leaning a little on his arm while I was talking. It just caught my attention and I was wondering what it could mean.

Lesson number 1: When a guy is figiting with a part of his body more times than not the sense of touch is mostly running thru his head. The thought of it being just and irritation or itch is ruled out by the fact that hes making eye contact with you, altough it also depends on the stare too...if his eyes are less open then full then that means hes very comfortable. With all said, sounds like this guy is very attracted to u.

I would guess that some body language has the same meaning around the world - for example, swinging your fist at somebody's nose would probably be understood anywhere. But definitely, there are many gestures that are not universally understood., and a gesture that's friendly in some cultures may be an insult in others.

It sounds like a classic case of he was lying to you.
that does not mean that he was, that is just what that particular gesture means, he could of also been very nervous, but if he wasnt, then lying is it.

Rubbing one's ear is usually a sign of apprehension or nervousness.
So yeah, you might make him nervous for obvious or not so obvious reasons.

he got some kind of itch. he was giving you eye contact because he was like hurry up with this talking. he leaned a lil to his harm because he was getting tired of the conversation.

mabbe he cannot hear good from one ear, and leaning closer also supports this, but he does not want to tell you.
