Not a bad time to start. Just don't think you have to bench 150-200 pounds right now.

Usually you want to start at 15 becuase by 15 you've MOST LIKELY reached your ideal size *height wise* and your body has done a good majority of it's growign and stuff. For lifting weights doesn't help you if your still growing since it keeps you the size your at, and if your not physically fit for it *i think 13 might be a little too early* then it will definetley come with bad side affects *pains in body, maybe even tearing a hamstring or stuff of that sort*.

Thats a bunch of bull. Lifting weights does not stunt your height. If that was true half the NFL would be under 5'8.

You can start lifting weights at any times. You want to know more? then ask questions in a place that people know what they are talking about. Look in the source.

I am 14 now and I started lifting weights when I was 12 or 13. it helps a lot with sports. Just be sure to do low weight high rep. Pick a weight that you can do ten or twelve reps at.

You can start a little to try and tone your muscles but do NOT do too much or you will stunt your growth. Lifting weights will help you in almost all sports you play for school and club, good luck just don't hurt yourself.

you shouldnt do any really right now because your body is not ready to get exercised like that! I tried to when I was like about 14 and now my joints hurt, at least that's what my doctor said! try to just do the regular push-ups and sit-up! don't just do regular push-ups, do the diamond push-ups once in a while if your not too good with them, but try to make it really a good workout! and sit-ups try to touch your chest to your knees! if you do these until like your 15 or 16 then you would definitely be ready for lifting wieghts and you would have a lot of good stregth without having a lot of musle showing! look at Bruce Lee, you didn't see him all huge like arnold or something, and he could do as much as and even more then a lot of the pro athletes!
