call him and just say "Hey, i need to come by and grab my stuff , whats a good time to stop by? and could u have it ready to go for me so i dont have to bother anyone.." then goodbye.. civil , simple, and to the point..

Just come right out & ask him. If he has another friend & he's
over you he should give it back. But, why do you want it back?
When you give or loan anything it should'nt be so emotionally
binding with you to give you grief when you can't retrieveit.I never
give something away then want it back.And if it was a gift to him
then it is still His gift.You don't need it. Unles, you're trying to keep a flame lit for him. It's over.Let bygones be bygones.
