all the short skirts and tank tops are embarassing. She calls herself a flooszie but I think she looks trashy. How can I convince her to stop dressing like she is a teenager?

You can't; she is a grown woman, at least according to her age, and it is up to her to wear whatever she chooses.
If you feel like you just have to do something to try, I would suggest contacting one of the major talk shows as many them have shows where kids have written in that the Mom dresses to trashy and how embarrassing it is to them. The show will give them a makeover that is more conservative, but allows them to retain their personal sense of style (i.e. a leopard print scarf and bag instead of an entire leopard print outfit, which no one, ever has looked good and I do mean that...EVER!).
Another option, which may tick her off to the point she may never speak to you again, or may make her think about revamping her image is to take a video camera when you go somewhere with her and get the unvarnished reactions and looks that other people are giving her and if you are brave enough to ask them, saying about her, then try to get her to watch it.

A flooszie is trashy. If your mom thinks she looks good, who is to stop her, you? But, If you really want to work on your mom, go through some mags and find something stylin' that you think would look nice on your mom. Then, buy her something (do you have a job and can do this?) Ask her to humor you and try it on. If it looks good, take a picture of her in it and show it to everyone. She might just take your hint.

Stand her in front a full length mirror and have her take a long look at herself. But hey, if she still has a flat stomach, great legs and not too many wrinkles, let her show it off! I know that she seems old to you, but she probably is dressing as young as she feels.

Some women age very well, keep their figure, and aren't ashamed to dress in youth fashions. They enjoy getting the attention from the men and the dirty looks from the men's wives LOL. Just because you get older doesn't mean you have to act old. You never mentioned your dad, maybe she wants to keep him interested too? A lot of husbands stray because their wife doesn't bother to keep them interested.

I'd take her shopping and make her try on something her age. She'll see how good she can look when she doesn't look like she's about to go hooking. Or buy her something nice for her birthday, mother's day or christmas.

try talking to her like an adult, not a child and tell her how it makes you feel if that dosen't don't be polite anymorre hurt her feelings i do it all the time it might feel bad at the moment but once she starts dressing her age it'll be worth it

If she has the body for it ....that is what she should wear...you should be proud that she likes to dress sexy...I wish my mom would be more like that...she hates when I wear my really, really tight jeans and shorts....she is such a fuddy duddy...I hate it..I will trade moms with you.

Ech my mother used to do this to. Tell her its time for a girls day shoping. Take her to clothing stores for her age. Than recomend clothes for her age. If you give her support shel belive you. It also helps to have a person who works there assist you.

start dressing like she would normally [if she was 53] then tell her its the hit style, or you can just tell her that her style is out.
