maybe your body is trying to tell you something....give up the tanning bed, to save your skin from cancer. A pale skin is far better than a disfigured one that can kill you..

It could be a number of things. I suggest that you stop tanning for a while because it could be aggravating something that you're doing or you've become allergic to something. The tanning salon may not be cleaning the beds, you could be reacting to whatever they use to clean the beds, it could be your lotion, detergent, perfume or anything else you're putting on your skin. You should stop everything and gradually introduce them one by one back to your skin. So the first couple of days just put the lotion on your skin to see if you get a reaction, then the next week go to the tanning bed, then the following week add whatever else you're doing to the skin and so on. That way you can see what you're having a reaction to. For the time being just use a fragrance free body cleanser. Artificial fragrance is VERY irritating to the skin. Once combined with UV rays can cause an even bigger problem. Good Luck!

You could be reacting to both the lotion and the heat. Chances are you are allergic to the lotion, but the heat and light can trigger it too. Also if you are on certain medications or antibiotics, your skin is photosensitized, meaning it is more sensitive to light and you can break out in major hives and look like you are burned just from a 15 minute exposure. So beware of that too.

Are you sure that you aren't reacting to something in your diet? It could most certainly be the lotion as well. See a doctor, as only a physician will be able to tell what is causing the allergic reaction, and what should be done to stop it.

Tanning, even if not the problem, will give you skin cancer, can cause fertility problems in extreme cases, and will age you far more quickly than normal. All good reasons to protect your skin.

I don't think you have hives. That is too much tanning!! Do you lie in the sun or go to a salon? They are both bad! Your body is telling you something and I would suggest you listen to it before it is too late.

it could be but if it was most likely your whole body would break out you should probably stop tanning and go see a doc it could be something severe or you could be allergic to the sun and those areas are your sensitive spots

You could have an allergy to the lotion you're using. Check it out with your doctor or with your pharmacist.

I did that when I used a new lotion. Its the heat / sweat / and perfume in the lotion reacting and causing the rash.
