Just saw it today, kind of confused.

1. Is the movie in anyway related to the Underworld movies? I haven't seen those 2 yet but the same actress is in them and i know they also deal with vampires.

2. The vampire reveals at the end that Van Helsing is the one who originally killed him. So, in relation to the storyline, WHAT does that make Van Helsing (if not a vampire) and why wasn't he suprised to hear he's been alive for 400 years?

3.Who was the third guy Anna was with in heaven? I know one was her brother.

4. Where was the frankenstein monster headed to at the end? He was on a boat and at first I thought he was taking Anna's body into the sea and they would shoot it with flaming arrows, mercy-killing him too, (you know those movies where they "send off" the dead into the water on a wodden boat then set it on fire), but then I saw that they set her on fire on land. So where was he going, did they ever say?

1: No. The Underworld movies are about a war between the vampires and the Lycans. Van Helsing is about Dracula being able to be killed by a werewolf.

2: VanHelsing is the left hand of God. My guess, is that he's done too many terrible things, and so God erased his memories, and that's why he doesn't remember killing Count Dracula.

3: Boris Vilarios, her father. Dracula killed him after turning him into a werewolf. He was trying to use him to give life to his children, and pulled the whole 'Frankenstien' lightening storm-and that's what killed him.

4: At the castle in Budapest (remember the ballroom scene? Hope so.), when they are outside the gates, Carl tells Van Helsing and Anna that the order told them to kill Frankenstein because he was a danger to humanity. So, at the end of the movie, instead of killing him, Van Helsing sent him off into hiding so the Order wouldn't find him.

I kinda enjoyed the movie. It wasn't the greatest, yeah, but it's pretty good. :)

I'm not an expert on Van Helsing, but I'll try to answer all your questions.

1. I don't think it is directly linked to the Underworld movies. Van Helsing is a different story, and the fact that Kate Beckinsale is in both shows she merely likes starring in these sort of movies (vampires, etc.)

2. I really don't know, but if you search up forums or fan sites, there should be answers.

3. Haha, I can't remember this particular scene.

4. Aww Frankenstein (although a monster) looked so innocent in this film. I think he was going away, like, to die or something.

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance, but I hope I helped just a bit.

You are entirely too analytical.

1. The movies have the same theme, but are entirely different stories.

2. Not sure what he is, that's part of his mystery. The movie only says he's the left hand of God. He's not surprised because he remembers things from that long ago. When they first get to Transylvania, he says he remembers a battle with the Romans that occurred in 73 AD, so killing Dracula is probably minor after a lifetime that long, even if you don't remember most of it.

3. Her father, duh.

4. Anywhere he wanted. He was free. Without a threat to himself or to mankind, he's free to go where he wants, even if he won't quite fit in.
