We have many anti-war activists in US, UK, and other western nations, but I have yet to hear or read of Moslem peace activists. Anyone heard of anything to the contrary?

Because the Islamic religion is not about peace no matter what other nutjobs tell you otherwise.

because most of the western countries are democratic where the people vote on government decisions. on the other hand there is no democracy in Islamic countries. They are afraid of their leaders. and since the religion is the anaesthetic of countries, powerful persons in those Islamic countries intend to use religion for their own benefits. They usually announce jihad(holy war) and uneducated, ignorent people of an Islamic country believe all those bullshits.If they do not, they would probably be killed. On the other hand, Republic of Turkey is an Islamic country too but there are many anti-war activists because the country has a democratic system. So, peace movements are not related to the fact whether the country is Islamic or Christian. It depends on state's political system.

There are democratic movements in the Arab or let us say the Islamic or the world of submission. The Islamism is in some part of the world a protest against the lack of democracy, a protest against the oligarchy and corruption. Many regimes has no or very little support from its people. It is sad and a great mistake when USA and EU did not recognized the Hamas, which was elected by the people of Palestine. No one gave them a chance to make change it their former values and taking care of subversive elements and now we have opened the possibilities to a serious war blowing up, which can spread out. I would not like to see a second 9/11 or something worse coming up again as a protest against poor leadership.

There are many Islamic and Muslim people who want people. I know some and have talked with them about that very thing. I often wonder why their leaders don't decry Hamas, Hezzbolah and even al queda. And to be honest some of them fear these organizations and what they might do - and that is a very real reason they rarely speak out.
Remember if all of the extremist in Iraq and around Israel laid down their weapons right now - the fighting would stop. However if we or Israel or both were to lay down our weapons we'd simply be slaughtered.

There is a peace movement in every country, it is a sure sign of being sane. Mankind has been killing each other for thousands of years and nothing permanent has come of it yet, except a lot dead people. "When will you ever learn?"
The idea that we in the United States are the only ones that are brave, good, god-fearing, fat, and lonely, is about being force fed the same old horseshit over and over again. It comes out of a since of venerability and phobias about judgment day.

Cox in Islamic countries there are no democratic regimes,so u can't find a legal party expat the one who rules,thus the climate is suitable only for secret and extremist movement,any way the movement of Islamic brotherhood, in Egypt, Jordan,Syria, are peace full and moderate.

The younger is a religion, the more aggressive and intolerant it is. Islam is some six centuries younger than Christianity and way younger than Judaism or Buddhism.
Also, larger (or larger) part of population of Western democracies is atheists, and those are mostly reasonable people.

islam is absolutly about peace, cheak it out for yourself, if anyone says it is violent then it just shows me your an ignorant fool that needs to study up on this religion. you should know about something if you are going to make statments about it. in the meantime shut you mouth and open you eyes and ears.
