quintillion (18) (no "r" there)

It stands to reason that dodecillion (39) would exist, but I don't know the one in between that and decillion, and I've never seen anyone bother with it. Scientific notation is typically used at the higher numbers.
There is the "googol" - 100 zeros, and the "googol-plex", which is 10 to the googol power - entirely nonsensical. Those are just sort of made up numbers (you will note they don't have 0 groupings of three), although they certainly exist and have been thought of.
I had a physics professor speculate that the total number of subatomic particles in the universe was less than a googol. I don't know if he was exactly right, but at some point of course you must question the value of numbers beyond a certain point.

A googol is 1 followed by 100 zeros.
A googolplex is 1 followed by a googol zeros.
So a googolplex is the largest number. Until you add 1 to it.
There is no largest number, because you can keep adding 1 and getting a larger number.

eventually, you get to google, which has 100 zeros, and then you get to google plex, which is a 1, followed by google zeros.
pretty cumbersome to write this way- look into scientific notation.

Depends where you're from. Some say 18, as they count thousand, million, billion, trillion... (going up by a factor of 1000 each time) others say 30, as they count thousand, million, thousand million, billion, thousand billion, trillion ... (again each number here is a thousand times as large as its predecessor)
As to larger numbers, many things spring to mind, like Avogadro's number for one, or myriads etc.
