Go get yourself a big heap of really wet mud, and leave it in the sun for like 3 or 4 days until it drys, and hey presto instant dirt.
or you could just buy some from daisy's garden supplies. HA HA HA HA

Dirt is usually made by eroding rocks with water and to a lesser extent wind.

I believe you can get a kit at Home depot. for making your own dirt. 29.95 plus tax. they have a work shop on saturdays for the demo of the kit. lol ask a silly question get a silly answer
