David Trezeguet is a great soccer player...he is under-rated and has not been given enough credit.
In Juventus, he is one of their leading goal scorers...people fail to see that!

And shame on Buffon for his comments about Trezeguet...his own teammate.

I personally admire David Trezeguet and support him...
Hope someone out there does so, too.

Sorry guys..
basically Gianluigi Buffon , during the Euro games , said to the press that David Trezeguet is bad luck for the team and that he shouldn't be playing..

(in Juventus)

It's one thing to be negative...it's another thing to be negative to your own teammate.

Say what you will, but David Trezeguet is a great soccer player...so what he missed a Penalty kick..shiiit happens!

LOL thanks for telling me Trezeguet plays for france...
but i was referring to the Italian League...
JUVENTUS...

and Buffon is a great goalie, no doubt, but he's no saint....he's scandalous...

"His club teammate that day was Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. Two days before the final, Buffon said he would be happy if Trezeguet doesn't play -- such was the psychological damage suffered by the Italians after Euro 2000."

I completely agree with you! It's really unfortunate that people are judging his skills based on one bad day that he had...there's OBVIOUSLY a reason why he was subbed in for penalty shots - because he's an amazing player! So he had a bad day...everybody makes mistakes...there's no need to demoralize him and undermine his skills and efforts...it's really sad how people are judging him simply because he lost one shot - it seems like too many people are blaming him. But whatever happens...he's still a great player...and he'll definitely show them what he's made of! =D
And as for Buffon...I don't like him anyways...he's not even the best goalie...regardless of his title and paycheck - Portugal's Ricardo is SO MUCH BETTER!!!
Just my thoughts...no offence to anyone... =)

I'm a Juventus fan (it means I'm supporting Buffon as well as Trezeguet, Vieira, Cannavaro and so on...) and I never noticed this attitude in Buffon.

Could it be a misunderstanding?

Let's try to translate - from "Gazzetta della Sport", 7 July:

IL FANTASMA TREZEGUET - Zidane è Zidane, ma per Buffon l'altro incubo si chiama Trezeguet. "Sono contento che parta dalla panchina. David è un pericolo costante e mi dispiace che abbiano squalificato Saha, la prima scelta in attacco ogni volta che c'era da fare una sostituzione. Ora toccherà a lui".

THE TREZEGUET MENACE - Zidane is always Zidane, but Buffon has another nightmare in Trezeguet. "I'm happy he's starting from the bench. David is a real dangerous opponent and I'm disappointed with Saha banning, the former first forwards substitute when a replacement was needed. Now it's time for him (Trezeguet)"

My English is poor, so it's better to add some writing:
Buffon fears Trezeguet skills
He's happy with Domenech behavior (the coach always starts with DT on bench and his first took isn't DT, but Saha)
Now he's concerned with Saha banning because the first forward replacement will be DT instead of Saha.

This is definitively an esteeming behavior, I guess ;-))

What is Buffon comment?
Where did u read it???

You have VERY, VERY WRONG information!
Buffon have often expressed his admiration for Trezeguet and they are very good friends.
In a TV interview to an Italian television, the day before the final Buffon was asked what kind of advantages Italy would have compared to France. He answered that the biggest advantage was Trezeguet not playing the game, because he considered him one of the best strikers in the world.
Juventus fans ADORE Trezeguet more than Ibrahimovic. In fact, most likely he is going to stay in Torino even in Serie B.
Why are you talking about things that are only in your imagination?
