I dont think you can sleep with them open.

Some people keep their eyes partially opened during REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. But we generally keep them closed to:
1. Keep them moisturized (try keeping your eyes open right now for a minute, it will hurt so bad from dehydration).
2. To keep foreign objects from falling into them (itsy bitsy spider...)

When I lay down, I close my eyes b/c they are the convenient way to watch my anime episodes. Kinda like being in the movies but smaller, eh.

because if u kept em open u'd still see things which wud want u're attention. and then u just wouldn't stop thinking but wen u close em u see nothing and u drift away into a different world. u relax...

so your eyes don't dry out. if staring for a couple of minutes makes your eyes go dry then imagine what hours would do to them.

not me, yet my mum suggested it got here about to her interior the morning once. She awakened even if it replaced into like she replaced into paralyzed, she replaced into respiration yet couldn't flow her body in any respect and she or he replaced into like that for 15 minutes.
