Short of Genocide of every Muslim and Terrorist Sympathizer on the planet (Which is impossible, not to mention highly immoral) what is to be gained from a "War on Terror" other than the warm fuzzy feeling blood thirsty people get when their revenge fueled bloodlust is fulfilled, when killing tens of thousand of so called "Terrorists" has no effect on the tactics they use?

I will begin by pointing out your premise is incorrect. It took more then twelve men to perpetrate the attack on America. Your premise being incorrect the rest of your propaganda rhetoric is not worth an answer.

The theory behind the war on terror is to disrupt their camps and training facilities. Contrary to what the media wants you to believe most muslim people are peaceful and do not seek war. It is the radicals that draw the headlines and that is why the news covers them. The war on terror is supposed to go far beyond just the muslim culture and does not target them specifically. It is to seek out and destroy these terror training grounds. Will we be successful? To me it is going to take alot of time of energy. America as a whole I think doesnt want to take this course because we have forgotten that it takes hard work to acheive things in life. We wants things fast, easy and simple. Look at some facts from the past 5 years. Since we have invaded Iraq and Afghanistan has there been anymore terror attacks in America. Not really, especially when you look at the london bombings and such. I think the terrorists know we outnumber them and are superior. They are bullies, that is why the kidnap reporters and set booby traps because they cant go toe to toe with the American War Machine.

9/11 was a real shocker for the whole country, and I seriously doubt we've seen the end of the 'karma' that will ultimately come from it....I think we've come pretty far already, there's a lot more interest in alternative energies, conservation, and a general consciousness-raising in terms of who we're doing business with anymore.

The 'war on terror' is just another label, rightly it should be called 'response to war on america', only this time the people trying to 'jump' our country didn't even have the moxy to actually form an army, they had to hide behind women etc. I think the sooner we start building a moon-base and otherwise just going forward toward our own national goals, the sooner other countries will have to find another hobby. 'Yes, we can' generate our own power, grow our own food, do all these things and many more, without ANY 'help' from other countries who can't seem to make it from tuesday to wednesday without asking america for another HANDOUT. NO more america-fare, I don't care who it's for...country's in debt, time to get back to basics, here...any politician who doesn't agree with that can go ahead and clean out their office, as far as I'm concerned. With 'friends' like these, who needs enemies? LOL

If the war is being carried out by the people trained to do so, in another country. Then the Terrorist are too busy to come to the USA and kill innocent people/civilians. Thus we are taking the fight to their homeland, and keeping it away from the main land USA. The gain? Less Americans dying, Women, Children, and others who had NO way to defend themselves. That Is What We Have To Gain. Plus, it is a nifty way to rid the world of undesirables!

It will be just as effective as the "war on drugs" has been, You can't destroy a mindset. Your beliefs, good or bad, are the only thing left that are truly yours. If you listen to the news, you can see that people have been terrorized ever since 9/11 without the need for another attack. The bush government is terrorizing us and the rest of the world.

In Christianity, there is not any such aspect as a "justifiable sin". however, killing someone who's threatening your existence or that of a loved one, a robber breaking into your position, or an enemy combatant for the period of wartime, isn't considered homicide and has continually been justified interior the Bible. the issue is, however, almost each and every time someone kills yet another man or woman they declare they did it in "self-protection", so if there is any reason for the law enforcement officials to suspect that the youngster might want to have used severe rigidity or that his mom's existence might want to no longer have fairly been in probability, then the prosecutor might want to favor to have him charged with manslaughter and enable a choose and jury ensure what honestly occurred. would not seem too possibly to take position right here however.

I love my country but I am sorry to say,our government is wrong on this "war on terror". This is an issue that will go on until someone will push the "button" and end life for all of us.We pride our selves here in the U.S.A. as being a "world leader", then let us show and lead the world into unity and peaceful solutions.

countries should be held resposible for their citizens. I believe eigtheen of the terrorist in 911 were from Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia should have brought Ben Laden to us and paid the damage because it was their fault they let a murderer out of their country. Policeing other countries does not work and we have documentation to prove it. Then we can fight without respect to civilians. Why did we go and take over Afghanistan? Why did we take over Iraq? Possibly because of the oil buisness? Nuke Saudi Arabia if they don't bring Ben Laden to us in one week. Or take their oil to pay for the damages their citizens caused to our country. Is the world gone mad. Bush has increased the deficit from 3.4 trillion dollars to 8.3 trillon dollars since 1999. Bush has successfully bankrupted the United States, that is called quantitative evidence. Wake up

Nothing.

A war on Terror is about as winable as the "war on drugs", "war on poverty", "war on ...INSERT CURRENT CRISIS HERE".

Where will it end? Wipe out muslims because the terrorists were muslim, wipe out blacks and hispanics because they join gangs, wipe out the whites because they attacked the OKC federal building and caused all that trouble in waco, and whose left?

Revenge has never worked as a way to promote a better society. I hope someday people can understand that.

What is to be gained by taking no action whatsoever? Nothing really. What is to be gained by doing something, even if it is not as effective as would be hoped? Better than standing idle. A man once said (paraphrased of course, and I can't remember the name now) that all evil needs to triumph is for good men to do nothing. If we take no action whatsoever, we will fail. "Wer viel magt gewint oft viel"; He who tries much succeeds much. Nothing ventured is really indeed nothing gained, and in fact can be much lost, especially in this situation.

Guerilla warfare gained us a country, didn't it? And I'm not necessarilly referring to our battle against the British....

**Historian David Stannard, for example, has argued that "The destruction of the Indians of the Americas was, far and away, the most massive act of genocide in the history of the world." Stannard believes that the natives of the Americas were deliberately and systematically exterminated over the course of several centuries, and that the process continues to the present day. Stannard estimates that almost 100 million American indigenous people have been killed what he calls the American Holocaust.[16]**

Guess we proved wiki wrong when it states:
"However, guerrilla warfare has generally been unsuccessful against native regimes, which have nowhere to retreat to and are highly knowledgeable about their own people, society, and culture."
