Thank you for your honest answer.
I wasnt blaming Libs for the problem. I was simply stating who I see as more simpathetic to the case for open borders.

In short, no it's not okay, for employers to hire undocumented workers,it is illegal (ha-ha) to do so.With that said do i blame any illegal for crossing the borders of the U.S (no)given thier circumstance ..i probably would as well. However;i personally find it amazing that this has become such a hot topic issue, considering these practices have been going on for 30 + years, every congress, every senate, every president, has continued to pass on it,all thanks to corporate america,so until laws are passed and (ENFORCED) to punish the corporations not with fines....but jail time.........nothing will change.

It's funny how people blame the lack of border security on what they see as "liberals" even though one of the main obstacles to border security appears to be the current President. I don't really mind our nation employing non- citizens, although I think there should be some sort of time limit as to how long that person can be a non- citizen and work in the country. I don't cherish the idea of foreigners coming to this country just to reap the benefits of our great economy. They would of course have the option of becoming citizens at a later date although if we were to remove every person that was not a citizen from our workfrce, it would cripple our economy.

I'm for a regulated border. In this age of technology why not require employers to post jobs to a government web site; if there are jobs available then issue work permits at a legal border crossing. Charge a fee to obtain a work permit, and charge the employer to list available jobs. The system would pay for itself and it does not have to effect the rest of us. I'd like this because the illegal immigrants now pay dearly to cross the border illegally to the mules and scoundrals that put them at great risk. Of course, for this work, you would have to close the rest of the border and seriously punish employers for not participating and hiring someone that is not permitted. But that can be done!

How can you honestly expect congress to pass a bill beneficial to the American people?
The congress will continue doing the bidding of big business and the ultra wealthy.
So If your expecting a law that will help put Americans to work your sadly mistaken. The best way to predict future actions is to look at their past actions. Expect full citizenship for illegals in order to supply cheap labor for big business and ultra wealthy.
Signed your local liberal (progressive)

Employment of non-citizens has little to do with securing our borders. Companies hire non-citizens all the time, be they legal or illegal.

The reason it is good is because then the company remains in america. People that want to work, should be allowed to, actually I think it was a right at one time. If we deny a woman access to a job because she is a woman, that is illeagal. As a country we agreed that all peoples from all places can come here if they wish, anjd leave here, if they wish. thing called freedom. Live it.

Stating that it is presumably liberals takes a lot of balls, especially since your buddy bush tried to secure our borders with Arab countries. I think an American company should first try to keep its borders owned by AMERICAN PEOPLE before that question can be answered...

In Australia it is illegal to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality and so on.A U.S.citizen with a valid resident permit could sue anyone who refused him a job just because he was an American. The real question is,can the applicant do the job?If he can, then hire him.
