I have asked the consultants for Proactiv about it (for my daughter) and they said that you have to stick to it for it to work. That i f you do it a few days and then let go you wnt see results.
I suggest you go for MURAD products they do work! They are a bit expensive but so is everythng else. Go online to look it up. I am a cosmetologist and I know skincare and skin problems, I dont have acne (used to when younger) but Murad has done miracles for alot of people. Their products for acne have glycolic acid which is the ingredient to fight and it does fight it the acne. It maeks you r skin smooth, if you have scars there is also a product from Murad for that.
You need Murad glycolic acid face wash, the Murad glycolic acid gel like for problem skin, and the spot treatement. They have moisturizer which you also need even if you have acne.
TRY IT, YOU 'LL REMEMBER ME.
Take vitamins a,d,e,k which are essential for skin, drink lots of water and avoid sodas and chocolates and fats (people think they dont affect but they do). At least cleanse yr system for a few days eating healthy fresh fruits and vegetables, organic brown rice , fish (omega 3 oil is essential for good skin).
I guarantee that it will work. Also wash your face in the morning and at night, and at midday blot it with blotting papers if its oily. Dont use any products that contain waxes it clogs pores.
Salicilic acid is another ingredient to fight acne and does work. You can get it at drugstores and there are many brands but if you really want beautiful skin try Murad.
(I should have been their sales person eh?)
Good luck to you and another thing , dont stress about the acne though its hard, try not to. Stress brings on pimples.

Proactive is awesome. My daughter (14) uses it and it's really cleared up her skin. Stick to it because it takes a good month for you to see a difference. And stay on the program. You'll still get a little acne, but it won't be NEARLY as bad as if you weren't using it.

Try cutting back on milk and dairy products. A lot of what happens in the body during puberty has to do with the rejection of lactose. A doctor will not tell you this as he has no gain unless you have a problem. If the problem simply clears up he's out money.

With only occasional pimples, I would not resort to such an expensive remedy so quickly. Try over-the-counter soaps/creams with Benzoyl Peroxide. I find that a cream with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide applied directly to the affected area works very well and can shrink down pimples very quickly, often within one day if you apply it several times.

Proactive isn't that good, i had tried it for 6 months, but it wasn't that effective, then i started with ayurvedic formulation, Chandan face pack and Neem pack. it works. And took four bottles of Amla and Aloe vera juice. And Mahamanjistha adhi qwath. Do try it out and see. www.planetayurveda.com

no, it dosen't work, i used it for a year and it didn't work. Try this prodect called bye bye blemish. It is the only thing i have used that really gets rid of them instead of just makin them a but smaller and it only casts $10!

It works wonders but is expensive. If you only breakout occasionally try Neutrogena's Face Wash. (The amber colored one). It is what my doctor recommended when I was younger. :)
