Limewire has lots of spyware. And since in P2P file sharing networks, viruses are passed along as you download. Although a lot of people have it, I recommend not using it. These spyware and viruses can be really hard to control and could be dangerous to the state of your computer. Let's just say that spyware is unpredictable and when your files get jacked up you'll reget it.

Try searching for a no-adware P2P program like BearShare Upgraded. You still have risks of getting viruses from other people, but I will asure you that you'll get less.

Limewire is a P2P download software. It's designed to connect you to other computers and let you download content that user has allowed to be shared. The program by itself is pretty harmless, but the content you download from users can be very BAD. Viruses, spyware etc... I would highly recommend you get a antivirus program.
