Im probably answering my own question.....but is mingling and just talking to a bunch of people all the time saying what i feel like the way to cure shyness.....any other suggestions will be appreciated so long as its relevant

Yes! Force yourself to talk to other people. All you have to do is ask people questions about themselves. Be confident and polite and you can't go wrong. Look them in the eye and be responsive. The best conversationalists are the best listeners. Good Luck!

One thing that worked for me is to go to the bar with a freind who abandons you as soon as you get there. Then your forced to mingle or feel stupid. It happened to me and now I can talk to almost anyone. Try going to social places alone for awhile. But what ever you do, realize that everyone is at least a little nervous about that first impression. Some just hide it better than others or finally realize that it's not worth making a friend if that person doesn't like you for who you are. Or you can try pretending your all that. Eventually you will believe it and so will others. It's a mind game that works wonders. I tried it once for giggles. It really does work!
