You should try Gmail, from Google. (I'm sure Yahoo is going to love me for this answer) There storage space for email is huge. Another great thing about Gmail is that you can always retrieve deleted messages. The only way to sign up is somewhat tricky you have to have a personal invite, from someone who already has Gmail. I'm sure there are other ways, but that's the way I signed up.

Gmail will do what you ask, Though I have it and never use it. Invitations were sent out long ago, I don't know Gmails current status on letting in new people.

gmail is 1 gb yahoo is 1gb aim is the most 2 gb hotmail isso freakin lame itonly gives 512 or 256 mb the lowest ive ever seen
