Well my family has decided it is time for a change, time to move away from Nebraska and we want something...

-Very culturally diverse
-Not California, we've already lived in 5 cities there including San Francisco and LA
-Cheap to live in, but not too cheap
-Clean air
-Not boring
-Some place where there is a middle-class part of town
-Not in the states surrounding Nebraska, it's pretty much all the same

With that said, any suggestions?

Don't just put the city you live in, put one you think best fits the charactaristics of my family's so called "criteria" for a city.

Seattle was nice. It is green because it rains alot but it is very culturally diverse. It has much industry but is more forward thinking in how it approaches it. It has a tendency to be more freespirited. People who live there are more freespirited i mean and there seem to be a greater percentage concerned with the environment. It has all the exposure to the Great Arts that people want.
Of all the places I lived it was the most peaceful even for a city.
Now i'm in Florida and I agree you don't want to move here. There are advertisements in the local paper saying over 1000 people a day are moving to florida. I think it's time for me to leave.

With all due appreciate, Canada has lots to grant. Toronto is a good city. With international warming, that's genuine, i might seek for something in Canada, be open to the opprotunities on your occupation. via the way, California isn't a city.

I don't think anyone can really answer this wuestion because I doubt there is anyone out there who has lived in every city in the US to be able to determine which one is the best. I love Nashville though...that's where I live.

Napersville, Illinois. It was on the news last night as the top place to live in the US. I have friends who live there and they absolutely love it.

Houston, Texas. My ex was from there. It's a really beautiful city, the people are friendly, the restaurants are awesome, and you will never find yourself bored.

stay as far away from Miami...

High cost of living...high crime rate (I'm getting mugged as we speak)...horrible traffic (#1 rudest drivers in the country)..

I've heard Austin TX is nice....
