Well, looking at the women that all of the guys I know seem to go after and the women I tend to be attracted to, I would have to say that most guys like women with some meat on their bones. Real skinny women (like most models) may be the preferred body type in the fashion industry and Hollywood, but I think the average guy likes a woman with curves. Not fat, but a healthy amount of weight. That and good hygiene. There are always certain things that attract some guys, like with me its long dark hair, for someone else it maybe blond hair ect.
The personality aspect is trickier. I personally find myself attracted to no particular personality type, although loud whine women do get on my nerves. As long as there is a connection and a basic understanding there (as much as can be expected between a man and a woman) then its all good.

Its different for each person. Haven't you heard the saying: To each their own. We all have different opinions and different thing that we look for in a girl or guy.
