Honey kills some bacteria, so it will help heal acne in that way, but it won't do anything to shrink a pimple.

Honey will only clog your pores and make it worse. As one person said, try toothpaste. Any kind will do. Dab it on at night. It cools it down, reduces swelling and redness and is anticeptic. It will increase the healing time.

i think ive read that honey to be use for acne in allure magazine, well i havent tried it so i can't really tell the benefits of that. My dermatologist told me to just apply ice for about 3-5 minutes directly to the inflamed acne to reduce inflammation - that one works for me.

Try the gel from an Aloe plant! It has worked wonders for me, so much so that I tell everyone about it! Do research on Google for "Aloe plant acne" about it, and you will find TONS of info. Rub the gel from a leaf on your face morning and night before you go to bed.

That's news to me. Your dermatologist is the best to direct you. If you don't have one, try anything and everything. I actually think just keeping your skin clean, keep away from fried foods, chocolate and other things if you eat them you notice more break-out, the right amount of "sunshine", and lots of water will work. Try to keep your hands off of your face, and don't dry it out by using alcohol and overwashing. And watch the make-up base. (I quit wearing make-up base when I was 20, and I rarely break out now - the make up was the problem).

Yes, because honey is a natural antibacterial.

It does help to improve, but it wont take it away completely. I heard that drinking a teaspoon of Epsoms salt in a glass of water every day cures it completely!

It does!! Honey is a natural analgesic!! Plus it tastes great, so if you have a zit near your mouth, you don't have to be afraid to lick your lips!!
