Well, despite the screaming, the rock actually is music. So, I'll have to go with that. Rap is horrible.

neither, rap in fact is a huge disapointment in a race that gave us the blues, rock n roll and jazz. Hard to believe a race that gave us ray charles now hands us, 50 cent..damn hat sux

Old school rap like Dre, Snoop, DJ Quik, Ice Cube, etc is good. All the new stuff SUCKS!!! I also like trip-hop/re-mix/beat-mix stuff like DJ Cam, Stereo MCs, DJ Logic, Kid Loco, Hemisphere, etc.
As for alternative rock, most if it sucks...especially the whiny, cry-baby, pop crap called "emo". I prefer punk, ska, or metal.
