It seems that there are only a few number of smart people. I can't figure out what is wrong with people. God gave us the gift of reason. Why do some people not use it. If you support the president I have one word for you, WHY? I am sick of the United States political system. No one can do anything to help anyone. The world is heading in a bad direction and I don't know if I'll be around to save it, and if there are enough people like me with some common sense to solve the problems. 10 points for someone who shows some common sense.

People I am not agianst the United States, even though it might seem that way. I just think that the system needs some work.

There is only a handful of smart people in the world. My hairdryer has a warning "Do not use while sleeping." Stupidity is rampant, and of course it would show up in government...it attracts the idiots.

There are smart people in the world, but they are smart in some areas, not in everything. I support the President, he is in office already and we the people should at least support him. He doesn't make all these decision by himself, he has tons of advisors that he turns to help him. If you're sick of the US political system, then one question for you is, WHY are you still here? Your sentence, "I don't know if I'll be around to save it." Like you have the answer to problems going on in the world, that's a laugh. Go on, tell us about it, what can we do to help the fighting going on in the world? Yes, we need solutions, not problems by people like you. Being smart and having common sense will not help the world get out of this crisis.

You aren't the first person to notice it; the trend has been around for a while. Look up The Marching Morons, by C. M. Kornbluth.
If you're really sick of the US political system, feel free to move someplace better. Unlike a lot of countries, noone will try and stop you. It may be far from perfect, but it did, among other things, allow a story like the one mentioned, to get published. It allows journalists to commit what would pass for treason in a lot of countries on a regular basis. Is there corruption and stupidity ? Yup, 'fraid so. but I don't know of anyplace that doesn't have that, and plenty with worse. As for foolishness, just look at the diatribe posted as the first 'answer' . If THAT makes sense, I guess defeating Hitler was a big mistake, after all.

There are several thinking people in the world and I feel that I am included in that number. This Prez might not be perfict but you name me just one that was.
And No you nor I can do anything except VOTE to change the way things are.
As for GOD I say HA, God gave Adam his first breath as well as every other JEW and ARAB that is decended from Adam.
So to which name do you give God. He has many and all are true to thoes that folow him.
I heard last night on South Park that the Republicans are responcible for a force of nature.
Wow I say I did not know that we had the power to change nature from her path.

Jesus said that the wheat and the weeds grow together and that at the end he will gather the wheat into his barn and the weeds will be burned. He told his servants not to try to pull the wees out before the harvest because it could harm the wheat.
I understand that God is calling a people together to live in love with Him forever. There will be a sorting out at the end of the age. Meanwhile, I go about spreading as much love and truth as I can, leaving the outcome to Him.
That's what I think is going on.

Your common sense is your opinion. Others' opinions differ. To get things done as a group of people we have to compromise. the world is run by committees. Don't think you are above the world. Believe it or not everyone feels they are doing the best they can.

That's right. I agree with you. The world is heading toward it's own doom and it seems that we[the humans] are the ones fueling it. We should do something and fast. Time is short.

at this time we don't need so much intelligence to solve the conflict or embetter the world as we did during the industrial era. what the world needs now is love. love does not kill, love does not hate and love is ready to sacrifice his life for the enlightenment of other people he loves.
