The question should be...why did your husband cheat on you two weeks after your child was born?
How committed to you has this man been.
I cannot believe that you had absolutely NO idea that something like this would happen. I am willing to bet that this guy is always looking at other women, possibly even making comments about them right in front of you. Now you need to figure out how you are going to keep this guy married to you and committed to you and your child, or dump him immediately and raise the child yourself, with him paying child support.

I think there are two factors - emotion and jealousy.
I think sometimes the emotion of it all is to much and they can't handle it so they handle what they can - makin love.
Jealousy also I think because once upon a time he had all of your love. Now there is another person that you share your love with. It may be that he doesn't think he's getting enough attention.
Typically it's all about the mother and the baby and the father gets asked how mum and bub are but not themselves. Then they think they have to be the wine and bread maker so all the responsibilty is on them.
I guess sex is just one way of letting it all go.
