I just had an exam today, the clamps made me bleed a good amount, she gave me a pad and said it'll go away within 24 hours. It's subsided,
But I still feel numb there, and can't move around too great, putting away groceries was challenging.
I was wondering if this is normal, if anyone else has had a similiar checkup like this? I'm in my last month, if that helps. Seeing all that blood was a little surprising, and having to use pad was weird.
Just wondering if this is normal?

Absolutely normal! Your vaginal area is engorged with extra blood supply, so your much more sensitive. I bled after my first pelvic exam before I dlivered my first child. If it starts again, I would contact your Dr. Did your Dr strip your membranes? Sometimes that can often cause a little bleeding.

properly, at 39 weeks ( i'm now 40-one- a week late) I had an inner exam, and that i became bleeding undesirable before i even left the medical institution, i bleed for 2 days. My medical doctors werent worried with it, it wasnt noticeably heavy, yet no longer too mild both. It became purely my bloody tutor. Thats likely whats happening with you. Your cervix is one of those comfortable section, the slightest contact can make you bleed. in case you expeiernce era like bleeding bypass to the medical institution asap, or in case you be conscious blood clots higher than quarter length. desire this facilitates:)

I only bled like this on my last visit with the Dr. when she stripped my membranes. It sounds to me that she did more than just gently check for dilation. Did you ask her to help labor along? If you are bleeding this much I would call your Dr. to make sure everything is OK and if it is then I would think contractions could start very soon. Good luck and congratulations.

If the doctor gave you a pad and said not to worry about it, I wouldn't worry about it. If calling the ER or L&D at the hospital would help ease your mind, then go ahead. Better safe than sorry, I believe. But I always bleed (not heavily but enough to wear a pad) after exams - pregnant or not.

There should not be any kind of bleeding for any check-ups. You should get the opinion of another doctor. If you are in your last month, the check up could have hurt something inside. I would advise you to check with another doctor

After a exam if you are pregnant they tell you to expect some bleeding.I wouldn't worry to much about it.But if it doesn't stop I would go to the ER.

I think i would call them tomorrow and tell them that you are numb there. I don't know if it is supposed to be numb or not, but I don't think so.
