So, how long should the hair be? and where all do you trim up? Also, how long is an average length of the shaft?

What length is acceptable? Aside from hair, how long's too long, and how short's too short?...if you know what I'm sayin'.

Unless you want your family jewels & such to feel like steel wool, I'd say no! Keep it clean by trimming. You don't have to worry about cuts & things with be much softer than the stubble you'll be facing in the hours to come.
Another bonus to trimming, your package will look larger! Getting rid of excess hair really sizes things up. There's no concrete number on the average shaft length. Doctors estimate the average penis to be between 5 & 7 inches long. Big ears, noses & feet have nothing to do with it people!

I don't need him to be hairy as an ape, but some hair is fine. It's best when they trim it up, but not shave. My man shaved for me once, and the poor guy itched for a month it seemed. I'd never put my man through that again. It was kind of fun, though.

definately prefer the shave...makes things a little more comfortable and you dont have to worry about stray hairs...

I would never ASK a guy to shave but when I get a hair in my mouth I AM DONE so it is really up to him...... ;-)

they don't really need to shave, it is just important to keep things neat.
