Hi, Kirsten.
What is bad or good is a matter of morality or ethics. Personally, I think porn is part of the illusion of the world which attacts and holds people from attaining enlightenment (Christians call it salvation). Porn has been considered by some to be as addictive as drugs. Some see pornography as a "gateway" activity to other criminal or deviant behaviors. Others say it's a valid way to let off libido, better than acting out in society. But I think it is acting out and encourages isolation rather than actual human contact.
Now, your asking the question indicates you are unsure, maybe even worry about whether it's the right thing. You are probably young, since you write of going to college. You may not know enough about what you're getting into.
I don't know much about the porn industry, but I suppose there is much exploitation there. But maybe you can keep a diary, and later write about your experiences so others can learn. There might be a purpose to your being there, and that would be a good thing! If you can help others make a more informed decision because you shared your experience and knowledge, than you would be doing a good thing.

First of all, it is not the only way you can pay for college. Believe it or not there are a lot of college graduates out there that didn't star in porn to get their degree. There are grants, loans, scholorships, works studies and so on. Not to mention getting a regular paying job. If you are asking if it is bad then it means that you have a problem with it somewhere or else you are just looking for attention or rather more than you are getting. You need to decide if it is bad and if you can handle telling your future children, husband, and whom ever else may come along.

The only job to pay for college? So is every college student a porn star? There are other jobs out there. You may be making money now, but this life will cost you later.

Have seen the Movie, Robinhood? He was a theft and gave all the things he stole for the poor. If you come to think of it , his intention is good but the ACT is wrong. The same way as you. Your intention is to finish college but the way you get money is wrong. My advise is, there are other ways you can earn, rather than being a porn star. You can apply to be a working scholar .Or you can apply for a scholarship. Education is very important but think ahead. Think of you future. What will become of you after being a porn star and and a college graduate?Do you think you will feel proud of yourself after all?

I'm so sorry that this is the only way you feel you can make enough money for college. Have you thought about this might wreck your professional career? I think it would be more feasible if you could model or-use some of your other talents. Use your brain not your body. I'm not judging you, but you need to consider when others find out about your past.

Well, at least you will have some work experience when you get out of school. I don't know why you would be worried what others think? I mean you already made your decision right. I know some women strip and make enough money to pay for school and the bills that they would not be able to afford otherwise.

It is college. and through.
So yes it is bad if you are doing porn and can't spell.
You see to be harping on this subject. We can all see that. Get over it.
Porn is a profession. I don't think the people involved in it like being made sport of. It is time for you to find a new topic.

The only negative that I can really find is that you will have to accept this choice for the rest of your life so make certain you can do that. You make it sound like a temporary job, not a caareer choice. So, after you get married and have kids the issue will come up and you'll need to be able to comfortably explain it. (I wouldn't want to be the husband and have a coworker be the one to tell me about my wife's past.) Other than that, it is really your choice. Be safe, be careful and demand respect.

You are the one that has to live with what you are doing for the rest of your life. And your partner will as long as you honest with them, which I hope you will be. It's 2006, STD, HIV, shall I go on? Better make sure the people you are starring with are checked too as I saw a special on tv and lots of porn stars have stuff and don't telll............

If you enjoy it and you don't mind what you did afterwards, then whether it is good or bad is a decision you'll have to make. You may want to avoid telling others what you are doing or did. If and when future coworkers and employers find out what you did, you may become unemployed. Sorry to say, it happens.
Have you ever applied for student loans?
