My first computer was a Gateway and it was not a bad computer and I figured I would buy another one until I started comparison shopping and a comparably equipped Dell was nearly $300 dollars cheaper.Pretty easy decision there. And I had it for 4 years and just recently bought another new Dell during their 22nd anniversary saving special and got a really good deal. I have never had any problems with a Dell computer in almost 5 years of use now.Good price and good product from my experience.

I hate laptops but as long as it is not a mac then I guess its OK. Its the stats that's are important over the brand.

I like HP. I know a lot about computers but I know less about laptops. I hate mac's just about as much as I hate reality TV and fox broadcasting.

I got my self a dual 4200 AMD athlon with 2 gigs memory 320GB hard drive and a great $800 video card. But I got liquid cooling because before my PC's would get darn to hot.

But with the computer screen , wireless laser desktop set and computer desk it was around $7000 after taxes and extended warranty.

THE BEST HINT!

FYI
I buy over 100 computers a year for the last ten.

That's all nuts!! All computers are all most the same!

Price is also no help, so buy the cheapest, i.e. on sale!!

The best prices are on online from ANYONE, even HP

All warranty are worthless, so is all the other upgrades!

Buy cheap and buy often that is the BEST HINT!!

Don't spend more than $499 for any laptop and $299 for Desktop!! Unless you are making movies or games!! Than buy the best thing on the market! OK

Dell. I swear by them. Then HP, but pretty much Dell is where it' at. If you get a chance research how Dell came about, that should motivate you to buy Dell.

Alienware, if you must have a win machine. Otherwise get a mac with the intel chip and you can have win and OS X.

I like my ACER but it's the only one I've had. It was suggested to me by a computer geek I know, if that helps.
