If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

try using lemon juice before u sleep. its going to sting a little at the start but you'll get used to it.

this is how u apply it:
squeeze half a lemon in a cup. get some cotton and dip it in the lemon and apply is over the scars...or rather your entire face. be patient cos it'll sting for the 1st couple of applications. then wash it in the morning. try this for about 1 week and you'll notice a change. trust me! take my word for it. it really does helps. and one more thing it smoothens your skin as well, and doesnt allow any more breakout if u still get them. but make sure u only apply is at night before u sleep cos since lemon is an astrigent so it tends to make skin a lil red for a little while, and i'm sure u dont want that when u go out :)

try it. trust me it'll work!

I had acne for a while, and although I've gotten rid of it (finally!) with the TimeWise set by Mary Kay, I still had red scars on the side of my face. So, I started using the Microdermabrasion Set (http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/skincare/antiaging/timewisemicrodermabrasionset/default.aspx) and the Even Complexion Essence (http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/skincare/antiaging/10002640/10002640/default.aspx). My scars are disappearing.

Since companies make their products to work together with other products in their line, I'd suggest using TimeWise® 3-In-1 Cleanser and TimeWise® Age-Fighting Moisturizer. http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/skincare/antiaging/default.aspx

Hope this helps!

The first thing, if you haven't already done it, is to get rid of the acne. The first step in getting rid of acne is to wash your face and neck at least twice a day with mild soap, such as Phisoderm and warm-not hot-water. Make sure you make plenty of suds and rinse thoroughly. Pat dry with a brand new paper towel. Throw away the towel. The next step is going to sound really weird, but I tried it and after a few days, it started to work.
1. Separate an egg. Put the yolk in a different bowl from the white. I don't care WHAT you do to the white. Give it to the cat, for all I care.
2. Using a clean fork, beat the yolk until smooth. Then, using your *clean* fingertips, spread the yolk over your face.
3. Let it dry completely. It feels kinda weird and tight, but let it get really dry-takes about 15-20 minutes.
4. Rinse the dried yolk off your face with warm-not hot-water. It'll take a little while, but make sure you get it all. Then rinse your face with cold water and pat dry with *another* new paper towel.
5.DO NOT APPLY MAKEUP. If your spots are really red, use a little dab of Visine to bring down the redness.
After a few days, you'll see marked improvement. Keep doing it about three times a week until the acne is completely gone. DO NOT wear makeup in between treatments. Okay, maybe just a little lip gloss. After the acne clears up completely, go to a costume store and get some pancake makeup. It may take a bit of experimentation to get the color exactly right. Apply, mixed lightly with a dab of cold cream, over your whole face. Apply blush, lipstick, etc. Then dust your entire face with baby powder and brush off excess with a fluffy brush, such as that used to apply blush. Put on your eye makeup after you brush off the powder. Now, the MOST IMPORTANT PART:
WASH OFF EVERY BIT OF THE MAKEUP BEFORE BED, EVERY NIGHT, WITHOUT FAIL. Use baby oil to wipe it off. Just put baby oil on a clean towel and wipe it off until it's all gone. The wash your face and neck with the Phisoderm, like usual, and keep applying the egg yolk three times a week. Use a new egg every time. DO NOT save yolk for next time. Feed left over yolk to the dog or wash it down the drain, but don't save it to use again. I know this sounds like a tough regimen, but the pancake makeup will hide your acne scars very effectively, and unless someone is looking really closely, they won't even notice any irregularity in your skin. You really have to stay on top of washing it off every single night though, because if you wear it to bed, it will permanently stain your bedding. It will also stain your clothing, so wear protection over your clothes while applying it, and don't go rubbing your face into some guy's lap who's wearing white, or light colored pants. You get my drift. I'm sure you're very nice and wouldn't do that, but you aren't the only person with the problem reading this either.

It will on its own just takes awhile but maybe using that scare stuff on it would help it heal up. When i pop a zit right after it i put some neosporan on it to help and it helps with the scaring a lot like i had no scars and maybe you should try that next time you pop a zit.

This sounds weird, but trust me it works. A rasor and a good shaving cream, it gets rid of dead and exfoliates, do this about every other day and in about 2 weeks you'll start to see more even looking skin.

Not a lot you can do about scars. There are some topical creams that can lessen the appearance of them, but not remove them completely.
