i think so cause i time a song i got from limewire to a song on the radio and the songs stoped at the same time.....

no they get paid to play certain music...I think that'show it works. but I knwo that they cant play certain songs without permision.

No radio stations get sent cd's from music companies. What you said just means that limewire put the same version of the song on line.
I don't think they get paid to play songs. DJ's used to, but that's when they got in trouble for payola. The companies just want their artist played on the air so people will buy their cd's.

Maybe someone on limewire got that song from the radio. Radio gets licensed music...they'd all be shut down otherwise. Limewire is pirated music.

Well actually I don't think it ever stopped—there are now many many investigations into payolas, and I know that one of the major record labels (I forget which one) had to pay a fine of $3 million dollars recently for bribing djs...its actually quite sad that the music on the radio is not necesarily good music, but rather music that will make a quick buck (or million bucks...)
