My dictionary says; A man or woman who is fully grown, a mature person. Having reached full size and strength.
I thought I was an adult at 16, just because I graduated high school, but I didn't really become an adult until I was about 24, when I finally outgrew all the childish stuff and all the partying, etc. and started taking things alittle more seriously.

Adult - (according to me) a. someone who enforces rules and laws that kill the human spirit and have been since the beginning of mankind, and thus has also raped and eradicated the natural and beautiful world that we no longer live in. Also someone who doesnt believe in equality.
b. cynical, prejudice, selfish, obnoxious, unforgiving, closed-minded, arrogant, resentful, hypocrite, conceited, dishonest, un-genuine, etc...

Even though unfortunately, i believe atleast, this is what people must be to be excepted and successful in this world. (think about it). I still am trying very hard not to become an "Adult".
But sadly most adults are teaching their children to be this way, that is why the governments of the world are the way they are and also why the world now, is the way it is.

that is a really good question. I started to say mature, but then I started to think about all the people I know over the age of 40 that are mature and I don't consider them adults. And then I began to think about all the people under 18 that I know that I don't consider adults.

This is a tough question, I can't wait to see how people answer this one.

well legally 18 in the US except in my opinion never! you will always make dumb decisions in your life and have your own opinions. most people think an adult is a person that makes good decisions and thinks with mature thurally thought decisions

I became ADULT at about 28. That's when I decided I wanted to be a "kid" for the rest of my life. See things through the eyes of a child.

Acting responsibly and doing the right thing. I would like to think I fit the bill but I do have moments of lapse. At 40 something one would think so.
